In January of 2015, while looking for remixes and SNES arrangements of Xenoblade Chronicles' famous song "You Will Know Our Names", I stumbled upon a video entitled "You Will Know Our Styles". Curious and unsuspecting of any trickery, I clicked the video, and what followed was the most oddly enchanting four minutes of my life. I had heard of mashups before, but never ones like this. This wasn't supposed to work. By all calculations, a combination of Xenoblade Chronicles, Gangnam Style, and Death Grips should NOT have worked. But there it was, right in front of me, as I sat there in my chair, half bewildered and half enthralled. Fast forward about seven months, and here I am, releasing my first mashup EP.

The tracks on this album are presented in order, the first song being the first one I made, the second is the second, and so on and so forth. I'm hoping that this format will enable people to hear me slowly improve over the course of the album. I've learned a lot in these past seven months, from artists with followings of all sizes. My only hope for the future is that Volume 2 of Mashing Buttons is even better than the first. Enjoy!
